I am an award-winning Canadian magazine writer and editor who was born in Nigeria. At the beginning of my magazine journalism career, I wrote about African issues for magazines and newspapers such as the UK-based New African, African Events, and West Africa, and the Toronto-based African Letter. When I found full-time work as an editor in the Canadian magazine industry, I temporarily put aside my interest in the continent to focus on a career in Canadian magazine writing and editing. However, I never stopped learning about and trying to understand the African predicament, and now, after three decades in Canadian magazines, this blog documents my return to what I love doing best.
